We have a lot of reusable water bottles, so I don’t accept every pitch I’m offered. Paul reached out to me with his AquaCrave bottle. He shared the features and I was intrigued. He patented the design. It’s “spill-proof” with a push button spout. It’s easy to clean and dishwasher safe. He dropped one off for me to try and will send one to a lucky reader.
I chatted with Paul about the AquaCrave bottle. As an engineer with over 20 patents and an avid athlete, Paul used reusable bottles often. He noticed that bottles with straws or spouts were hard to get clean and often got moldy or mildewed. He preferred lightweight, BPA free plastic over stainless steel bottles, so he designed a spill proof bottle with a “Flex Beam” button closure.
I’ve had some of the same issues that Paul mentioned in the past. I always bring a reusable bottle in my travels and have been soaked by leaks or pressurized water spouts. I took the AquaCrave to London for the marathon and had a great experience. It’s lightweight and didn’t leak even when it was sideways under the seat. The spout works well and the button is easy to use. This 24 oz. bottle fits in most cup holders. The bottle does get some condensation on it when you use ice and cold water, so you have to pay attention to that on hot days.
