I met the team from Buttermints at Sweets & Snacks Expo. I saw their booth and I’m a big fan of butter mints. I noticed that they use all natural ingredients and essential oils to create additional flavors. They had a ton of different flavors to try. I tried a bunch and they gave me some to try at home.
Buttermints has been spreading cheer through their unique and handcrafted flavors since 2013. These candies are made with “love and care” using a small batch process of 20 lbs of candy at a time or less. With simple ingredients and a small dedicated team, they cook, cool, stretch, color and shape our candy to perfection by hand. These mints melt away, with no preservatives or artificial flavors.
Buttermints uses only simple, natural ingredients to make their candies. All products are free from artificial colors and flavors. They’re gluten free and contain no high fructose corn syrup. The candies are handcrafted with real cane sugar and essential oils.
Buttermints come in over 20 flavors. They’re minty, spicy and fruity. There are eight varieties of mint including “Original Buttermint.” The spice line includes Cinnamon, Licorice and Spiced Egg Nog. There are twelve fruity varieties including Lemon Cream, Raspberry Cream, Lime Rickey and Grapefruit.
The team gave me six varieties to try. They were Original, Lime Rickey, Coffee, Coconut Cream, Lemon Cream and Creme de Menth. I shared some with friends and readers. I kept Original, Coffee and Lemon Cream. I also tried Cinnamon and Lime Rickey at Sweets and Snacks. I liked all of the flavors I tried but Coffee is my favorite. It’s not minty – but it’s creamy. Hard to describe but very good.
