It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. I can’t believe it’s May! After a slow start, I feel like the year’s flying by now. I’m excited for May and planning for some summer fun. Let’s get to it!
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m still smiling from my trip to London. The marathon was a blast and the rest of the weekend was great, too. My solo travels worked out really well and I loved exploring London solo and with friends – best of both worlds. Here’s my race recap if you missed it. I’d ask if you’d ever traveled solo or if you could where you’d like to go.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m excited to go to the Sweets and Snacks show this year. It’s in Indianapolis which is not as convenient as McCormick Center, but I may be able to convince Sapna to come with me which would be super fun! Also, they are back to pre-pandemic levels in terms of exhibitors so it should be a lot of fun! Here’s last year’s recap. I’d ask if you prefer sweets or savory snacks.
If we were having coffee… I’m also very excited to run the Brooklyn Half in May. I missed the NYC Half this year so I signed up for Brooklyn. I’m going to stay with Sue and Brett in Breezy Point for the weekend. I’m excited as I’ve never been there. It’s always fun to see my NYC friends. I can’t believe I haven’t been there since early November! I’d ask if you have any fun weekend trips planned.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I went to the media launch for the Faces of Fitness Festival this morning. Last year’s festival had over 20 amazing classes and a tons of health and wellness vendors. The best part? Proceeds benefit benefit Urban Initiatives. [See my reel from last year.] This year it’s two days with even more classes and sponsors on July 27 and 28 in River North. Use code fitness for $5 off tickets here.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that Jen and I are joining Fernanda for a Read and Run this weekend in Bronzeville with stops from Michelle Obama’s Becoming. I’m excited as I haven’t been there much and really enjoyed her book. I’d ask if you’ve read this book or any of President Obama’s books.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
