I had the opportunity to check out Cleancult cleaning products during Plastic-Free July. Their #PlasticPurge challenge was so successful that they’re pushing the movement to box out single-use plastic for good. Now, they’re taking on plastic jugs of laundry detergent with their new Laundry Detergent Sheets packaged in a 100% recyclable paper box.
Cleancult believes that “clean should mean clean in every single way.” They believe that we should “refill not landfill, that paper is mightier than plastic, and that lots of small actions add up to great change.” They’re on a mission to help more people switch from “a bad plastic habit to a cleaner refill ritual.” They say, “some cults are toxic, but not us!” Cleancult is Plastic Neutral Certified so they remove as much plastic from the environment as they use in their products.
Cleancult’s products are free from harsh chemicals while being gentle on your skin and the planet. Their formula freshens clothes and is free of 1,4-dioxane, phosphorus, parabens, phosphates, phthalates, dyes, and SLS.
Cleancult’s ultra concentrated laundry detergent sheets containing 3 stain-fighting enzymes to deliver a powerful clean. These laundry detergent sheets are lightweight, have a smaller carbon footprint than traditional laundry detergent and are certified plastic neutral. The sheets are compatible with all machines and water temperatures. These sensitive-skin safe detergent sheets fight stubborn stains, remove odors and soften clothes. They’re less messy than liquid and their compact design makes them the perfect travel laundry detergent.
Cleancult Laundry Detergent Sheets come in two scents and unscented. The scents are Fresh Linen and Wild Lavender. The Wool Dryer Balls are reusable, fragrance free and leave your clothes soft and static free.
I love the idea of laundry sheets. My test is whether they leave residue on clothes. We wear a lot of dark clothes around here! I’ve tried a number of products like this and was very pleasantly surprised to see no white residue on any of our clothes. You can also use these in cold, warm or hot water cycles. I tried the Fresh Linen scent and really liked it. I shared the Free & Clear with Fernanda as her family can’t use any fragrances.
