The team from Kinfield reached out to me in the fall to see if I wanted to check out their active skin care line. The anti-chafe balm, sunscreen and lip balm were some of my fave new finds of 2023.
Nichole Powell started Kinfield with “the hope of inspiring happier, healthier lives through the great outdoors.” It began with a camping trip to Yosemite, when she realized that she was packing many of the same products used as a kid. She looked for clean alternatives that, but couldn’t find anything she liked. Instead of giving up, she created Kinfield.
The team from Kinfield travel the world in search of the best plant-based ingredients to power their formulas. They say “efficacy is everything, and safety is non-negotiable.” All Kinfield products are made without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances and the formulas are proudly vegan, cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified. They got a deal on Shark Tank, too, so they’ve been expanding their line.
Kinfield makes bug repellents and bite remedies, sun, sport and recovery products. I tried the “Sweat Set” – deodorant, anti-chafe balm and sport wipes. I also tried the Daily Dew SPF 35 lotion. The sunscreen was voted best sunscreen of 2023 by Self Magazine! It’s a moisturizer and blends really well. Veronica and I love the All Star Anti Chafe balm and wipes. We used both for the California International Marathon and no chafing with the balm. I have the wipes in my travel bag and they’re easy to stow in a backpack.
