You may remember Olyra Breakfast Biscuits from my earlier posts. These whole grain, organic breakfast biscuits were “inspired by the endurance of Olympic Runners, the wisdom of Athenian Philosophers and the might of Spartan Warriors.” They have a variety of biscuits, sandwich biscuits and cream filled biscuits. At Expo East, they launched their new fruit filled breakfast biscuits. They sent me some to try and will send a lucky reader some, too!
The founder of Olyra’s family has been milling grain in Greece for five generations. They crafted these breakfast biscuits out of a combination of ancient grains, fruits and spices. They say that they’re “new to shelves, but 100 years in the making.”
Olyra Breakfast Biscuits and Sandwiches are plant based, organic and all natural. They’re made with organic whole grains including barley, lupine, oats and spelt. They’re high in Vitamin B, fiber and protein.
The new soft, organic fruit filled breakfast biscuits come in raspberry and strawberry. They’re made with Ancient Greek grains, non-GMO ingredients and real fruit. Each pack of two biscuits has only 6g of sugars and 9g fiber. Each serving has 4g of protein, too.
The soft biscuits are very tasty and filling. We prefer the tartness of the raspberry jam but both are good. They’re nice for an on the go breakfast, pre-run or afternoon snack with coffee or tea. A word of warning, they can be crumbly so make sure to have a napkin handy.
