I found Hi Love Travel on Instagram. An account I follow highlights local Chicagoland businesses and they shared Hi Love Travel. They make “uniquely functional, purposeful [products] at affordable prices for everyday, fitness, travel and more.” I checked it out and saw the adorable “Life’s a Marathon Runners” collection. I reached out to them and they sent me a set of three items to try and share.
Melissa Posh, an adventurous and global business entrepreneur, is the founder of Hi Love Travel. Melissa loves to travel. On a trip with her nieces, caught in a downpour and carrying a fanciful bag, she had an “aha” moment. She thought there has to be a better way. She went in search for bags that are “functional, lightweight and fashionable, too.” After focus groups across a variety of users, they developed designs and colors. The “must have” aspects were moisture-resistance and feather-light materials. They chose eco-friendly and recycled materials, too.
Hi Love makes “purposeful, water-resistant, featherlight packs, purses, totes, and luggage for fitness, fashion, travel, and your everyday! They come in a huge variety of colors and patterns to suit every mood and everyone’s personal style.
The “Sport Lover” collection has eight sports. There are styles for runners, golfers, pickleball and tennis players, hikers, yogis, cyclists and skiers.
The Life’s a Marathon Runner Packs come in Medium (11″ x 9″) and Mini (8.5″ x 5″). There’s also a Lie Flat Fanny Pack. All of the bags are functional and lightweight. They’re water-resistant and made with a unique material that is super soft to the touch.
I used my packs for the Madison Half Marathon. I stocked the Mini Pack with food, fuel, coffee, electrolytes and some toiletries. I packed plenty of extras for my friends and coffee in case they didn’t have it in the hotel room. I have a wrist strap for the Mini Pack and brought it to a local race the night before. For travel, I stored the Mini Pack inside the Medium Pack with some other travel essentials. Then after the race, I used the Medium Pack to store my wet gear. It was easy to clean when I got home, too! I love these and have already bought some as gifts. They’ll definitely be on my gift guides this year, too!
