It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. I was home all month and enjoyed catching up on sleep and getting back to healthy routines. I also ran my first race of the year and started planning for some spring fun.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m getting super excited for Expo West next week. Last year was great after having it cancelled in 2020 and 2021. This year, there are almost 3,200 exhibitors so it’s back to pre-pandemic levels. I’m sure it will be exhausting but I’m up for it! I know sustainability will be big and have seen a lot about global flavors and “holistic health moving beyond supplements.” I’m also happy to see that some trends seem to be waning like low carb and keto. Keep an eye on my Insta stories for a blow by blow!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m headed to NYC to run the NYC 1/2 with Alexandra’s Playground again. This is the tenth year that I’ve run for this great cause. [Learn more about Alexandra’s Playground here. If you’re interested in supporting our run, here’s the link.] I’m also excited to go to NYC to see a bunch of friends including a bunch of bloggers including Deborah one of our coffee date hosts!
If we were having coffee… I’d mention that I “ran into” Deborah, Wendy and Cynthia during my long run last weekend. It was so fun to see them IRL! Have you met any online friends in real life?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that The Husband and I got complimentary haircuts at Floyd’s 99 together yesterday. I just got a trim, but I think Kirby did a great job. It was also very affordable and a fun experience. I thought it was more of a barber shop, but it’s a full service hair salon for men and women. They have locations in 15 states. I love getting my hair blown dry, too. It always looks so much prettier than when I do it myself.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows were so far this year. I’m excited to watch Daisy Jones and the Six on Amazon Prime. I loved the book (more specifically the Audible version). I read Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng. I loved her previous books, but I found this one super depressing. What have you read or watched lately?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
