It’s the first weekend of the month, so I‘m linking up with Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date. I was home all month and enjoyed catching up on sleep and getting back to healthy routines. I also ran my first race of the year and started planning for some spring fun.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you about running the F3 Lake Half Marathon last week. Despite being nervous (not sure why!), we had “perfect” temps. It was 22 with no wind and snow flurries. I ran the first 5K with Wendy and felt happy and strong. It was my best time since the same race in January 2020. [Check out my reel for pics at Mile 2 and 12.] Maria and Heather went to Miami again for the half. While I was in no way jealous of the 75 and humid temps they had, I was envious of their post race entertainment and visit to The Standard Hotel spa/pool. What would you pick for a race 22 or 75 degrees?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that next week marks 25 years since The Husband and I started dating. [Insert mind blown emoji – LOL] We were friends before that, but that’s when we first kissed, etc. Kind of crazy but it’s been a fun ride.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows were last year. I binge watched White Lotus (and now I have to go to Sicily immediately – LOL). I also watched the most recent season of Emily in Paris – which I enjoyed more since we were there in November. I read a bunch of thrillers and Good for a Girl by Lauren Fleshman. It’s about women in sports. It’s part memoir with historical information and perspectives on improving the situation for girls. I highly recommend it. I also read Verity by Colleen Hoover in one day. Wow. That was a dark story. What have you read or watched lately?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you I’m still on my running streak. I made it to February and now wondering if I can make it to February 20. That will be THREE YEARS. Running is one of my only easy social outlets in winter and I still love running in cold weather. Call me crazy! I’m excited to try out and share more great cold weather running gear from Arc’teryx, too! Stay tuned.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you think of my site’s facelift and if you have any additional suggestions. I’d also ask if you have any thing new on the horizon.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
