I’ve been a fan of original Nugo Bars for years. I first tried them and did a review TEN years ago. Since then, I’ve enjoyed their Protein Cookies and other bars. They recently reached out to me on Instagram to see if I wanted to check out Nugo Dark bars. I was excited to try them again (it’s been a while) and they sent enough for me to share!

NuGo Dark Bars are covered in real dark chocolate. They are certified gluten-free, vegan, kosher, non-GMO and don’t contain artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols. Each bar contains 11 – 13 grams of plant-based protein.

I’d forgotten how much I enjoy these bars! I like the chewiness and slight crunch. They remind me of yummy candy bars but with protein and better for you ingredients. Chocolate Pretzel and Chocolate Chocolate Chip are my favorites. The Chocolate Mint is good for when you need a “Thin Mint” fix. The dark line is great for people who follow a vegan diet.
