It’s the first weekend of the month and of 2023. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date. I was away for the last two weeks of 2022 and as much as I loved visiting family and friends, I’m happy to be home. I’m starting the year with fitness, healthy meals and planning for the year. And, of course, coffee… lots of coffee.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve made any New Year’s resolutions and tell you that I haven’t. I have some goals and intentions but I feel a better mindset for me is to start every day off fresh instead of waiting for a “reset” button. What do you think? A lot of people have been sharing a “word for the year.” One that comes to mind for me is “declutter.” How about you?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’re planning any trips. We had a blast returning to international travel last year. We also did some fun US trips for running and to see friends and family. Right now, I have a Los Angeles trip (Expo West), NYC (NYC Half), San Francisco/Napa (Flex & Flow retreat), Boston (Boston Marathon) and Los Angeles (Mountains2Beach Marathon – maybe half) planned. The Husband has a bunch of ski trips and a San Fran trip with our nephew. Hopefully we can do some things together and get out of the country again, too. Do you have any trips planned yet?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask what you’re reading and watching and what your favorite books, movies and shows were last year. I’m in town for most of January and February and have some down time. I just realized I can watch White Lotus via Amazon Prime, so I might try that. Have you seen it?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you I’m still on my running streak. I hit 1,000 days on November 15 and am now wondering if I can make it to February 20. That will be THREE YEARS. Running is one of my only easy social outlets in winter and I still love running in cold weather. Call me crazy! I’m excited to try out and share more great cold weather running gear from Arc’teryx, too! Stay tuned. [If you missed it, check out my 2022 Year in Running here.]
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you I’m getting a make over. Well, not me, but Erica Finds! Stay tuned for my “new look” later this month. I’m excited for the streamlined design and new features and can’t wait to hear what you all think. I’d ask if you have any exciting news or makeovers on the horizon.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
