It’s Friday, so I’m linking up for the new Fit Friday Five. I’m doubling down and linking up with Marcia for “Runfessions,” too! Runfessions are running truths or “where runners bare their souls and soles.” It’s 1 week until the NYC Marathon (my 22nd!). It’s almost GO time again!
I runfess… I’m not that nervous to run a marathon four weeks after completing Chicago. In 2019, I was nervous about the double, but I did just fine. This year, I set Chicago as a long training run for NYC again and did better than I expected to. Given that I’ve run almost 1,000 days in a row, I should probably be nervous.
I runfess… I’m REALLY excited to go to New York. I’ve only been there twice since the 2019 NYC Marathon – for last year’s NYC Marathon and this year’s NYC Half.

I runfess… I may wear the same outfit as last year’s NYC and Chicago (and the same tank and compression socks as both in 2019). It’s so easy to spot! I’ll have to change it up next year. Maybe!
I runfess… I’m a wee bit obsessed with these New Balance Fuel Cell NYC Marathon sneakers. They’re $249 and I don’t even know if I’d like them. I bought 6 pairs of Saucony Endorphin 2s on sale so I certainly don’t need them… but… the heart wants what the heart wants. LOL.
