I met Dang Foods’ founders, Vincent and Andrew, at Sweets and Snacks in 2014. I was helping out my friends from Simple Squares (now Simple Botanics) and we were sharing a booth. I was SO excited because I love their toasted coconut! Since then, Dang has expanded their offerings to include a line of addictive Thai Rice Chips and keto-friendly Dang bars.
The brothers created Dang—แดง, named for their Mom—to share uniquely Asian-American snacks. They used inspiration from their Thai-American heritage “to create Asian-American snacks so delicious you’ll say…’Dang, that’s good!’” Dang’s coconuts are sourced from family farms in Thailand. As a Certified B Corp, Dang meets rigorous standards of environmental performance and public transparency, and their farm partners follow ethical business practices.

Dang Coconut Chips
Dang’s first product was toasted coconut chips. Vincent made some for one of his mom’s recipes and his friends and roommates loved them. The Original Chips are made with only three ingredients: coconut, salt and a dash of cane sugar. The chips are Non- GMO, gluten-free, vegan and have 50% less sugar than apple chips. Now, they come in three varieties: Original, Lightly Salted, and Caramel Sea Salt. My fave is still Original! I like to eat them as a snack right from the bag or in place of granola on a smoothie bowl or to add some crunch to a fruit salad.
Dang Thai Sticky-Rice Chips
Next, they made Thai Sticky-Rice Chips (Khao Taen in Thai)i inspired by Northern Thai street food. They soak sticky-rice in fresh watermelon juice and coconut milk to bind the grains together, then crisp them up to bring out the flavor of toasted rice. These addictive chips are gluten free, super crunchy and 25-35% less fat than regular potato chips. They come in Original, Coconut Crunch, Sriracha Spice, Aged Cheddar and Toasted Sesame. I love these chips – Sriracha Spice and Toasted Sesame are my faves. I shared with friends and got thumbs up all around.
Dang Bars
Finally, they “raised the bar” with Dang Bars. These better for you, low carb, keto snacks are crafted with real, good-for-you ingredients. They’re Keto Certified, vegan, gluten free and contain no added sugar. They come in five flavors: Almond Cookie, Lemon Matcha, Crazy Rich Chocolate, Peanut Butter and Toasted Coconut. My favorites are Lemon Matcha and Almond Cookie.
