It’s the first weekend of the month, so grab your mug for a coffee date. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you all about my busy March – especially Expo West. [In case you missed it, read my recap Part 1 and Part 2 and check out my Instagram story highlights “Expo West ’22.”] It was great being back at the Natural Products industry show. I saw a ton of friends, tried a lot of great new products and brought home a bunch to share. I’d tell you that I’m not used to being so busy and on the go any more. I was beat by the end of every day. I’d ask if you’ve been to any events or conferences and if they seem more tiring.
If we were having coffee… It was great to be back in New York for the NYC Half. I got to catch up with a ton of friends and enjoyed being in a big event that felt like pre-pandemic times. I’d ask if you’ve had the opportunity to visit places or do events that were cancelled for the past few years.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m going to be co-leading a series of fun runs in April with Arc’teryx Chicago. We’re running every Wednesday at 6:00 PM from the Rush Street store and will have some fun refreshments and giveaways. Red Belly Honey sent awesome mugs and samples for participants. Join us! You can rsvp here.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m excited to be an ambassador at the Blue Ridge Marathon with the Flex & Flow crew. They bill it as “America’s Toughest Road Races.” The elevation chart looks like a very wavy ocean. The marathon has 7,400 ft of elevation change! I’m “only” doing the half marathon but will head to mile 20 to run in Alexis in her first marathon. It’s going to be tough for this flatlander!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I just started reading 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard. It’s a thriller/suspense novel set in the beginning of the pandemic in Dublin. It’s pretty weird to read about/thing about those times. I also recently listened to The Line Between by Tosca Lee on Audible. It was about a pandemic that was like mad cow disease. It’s from 2019 and I had downloaded it then. It was pretty wild listening to that with what we know now. I’d ask what you’re reading and watching.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
