I had the opportunity to try Talty Bars. These chef made, real food protein bars are “raising the protein bar.” The bars contain dried fruit, nuts and whey protein. They focus on a small ingredient list, good taste and a balanced nutritional profile.
While trying to lose weight, Tim Talty, a trained chef, tried many protein bars. He couldn’t find any that met his three desires: great taste, great texture and great ingredients. So, he made his own. His recipes have changed over time but, his basic rules have not. He offers “the best tasting products on the market utilizing Simple But Honest™ Ingredients.” They also focus on ingredient sourcing and buys directly from the growers whenever possible. Talty Bar supports 1% for the planet and the bars are both carbon and plastic neutral.
Talty Bars are made with real food ingredients. They are gluten-free, soy-free, non-GMO and contain no added sugar. Each bar has between 200 and 250 calories and 13g of protein.
Talty Bars come in five flavors. They are Apple Strudel, Chocolate Coconut, Dark Chocolate Espresso, Fig & Cashew and Peanut Butter & Jelly.
These bars are the perfect size for an afternoon snack or before a workout. I like the taste and texture and that they’re not too sweet. My run away favorite is Apple Strudel followed by PB & J and Fig & Cashew. The chocolate ones are good, but I generally prefer fruit and nut over chocolate in protein bars. This is purely a personal preference.
Want to try all of the flavors? Talty Bar sent me two 5 bar variety packs. I’m going to send one to a lucky reader. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. The giveaway ends 3/29. A winner will be selected and notified on 3/30.
