It’s the first weekend of the month, so grab your mug for a coffee date. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask how the weather is by you. We had snow here in Chicago this week and it was pretty chilly. I’m getting out of dodge again to run the Miami Half Marathon and have a girls weekend. It’s going to be pretty warm on race day (70 degrees). I was hoping for a bit cooler. I’d ask if you prefer cold or hot temps for your first race of the year.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you I’m planning to keep up my running streak through February 2022 at least. That will be TWO YEARS. Today was day 716. Running is one of my only easy social outlets in winter and I still love running in cold weather. Call me crazy!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I had a great time roughing it with Flex & Flow and the Wy’East Wolfpack on a Malibu trail running and yoga retreat. [See pics on the ‘gram.] I bought the “glamping” option – basically they provided and set up my tent, sleeping mat and sleeping bag. The campground was 1/2 a mile from the beach which was gorgeous. We had 30+ mph winds the first night which was a bit wild and LOUD and sandy. Luckily, it died down the next few days and we had lots of running and yoga adventures and fun times. With all of that that said, I don’t think camping will be a new hobby. Do you like camping?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you prefer trail running or road running. I’m team road all the way. I know I’d get more comfortable on trails if I ran them more, but I love getting into the zone and not having to concentrate on every step. Are you team road or team trail?
If we were having coffee… I’d confess that I’ve still been mixing a bit of holiday coffee (with cinnamon, nutmeg and rum flavors) into my coffee grinds when I’m making it at home. Why not be a bit festive? I’ve been loving Vanilla Oat Malk, too! I’ve tried all of their oat and almond milks and they really are awesome.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
