I love sparkling water and I take adaptogens daily as recommended by my doctor. At Expo East, there were a ton of waters that had functional ingredients but most had CBD which doesn’t work for me. I was excited when I heard about a new Chicago company, Heywell. They make sparkling adaptogenic waters in four great flavors.
The founders developed Heywell with a mission of “making wellness more simple and accessible for everyone.” That means making something good for you, that’s also delicious and inclusive. Heywell is made with high quality, plant-based ingredients including adaptogens and antioxidants. The drinks are made with organic ingredients, are non-GMO, gluten free, dairy free and vegan. The drinks are low in calories and sugar and are a refreshing balance of tart and sweet.
Heywell comes in four varieties. Two are “energy” with 75mg of caffeine from organic green coffee beans and two are “calm” with no caffeine. The options are:
- Energy + Focus – This strawberry lemon flavored water has L-Theanine and caffeine to sharpen focus. It also has schisandra as an antioxidant and ashwaganda to help with stress.
- Energy + Immunity – This refreshing grapefruit flavored water is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants from alma berry and schisandra. It also has L-Theanine and caffeine to sharpen focus.
- Calm + Restore – This blackberry ginger flavored water is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants from alma berry and schisandra. It has lemon balm and L-Theanine for calm and tranquility.
- Calm + Hydrate – This lime flavor water has all of the vitamins and adaptogens as Calm + Restore with sea salt, potassium and magnesium for hydration.
I like all of the flavors. Since I drink so much coffee, I love the Calm options for later in the day. The Calm + Hydrate is great leading up to races or flights where I need to focus on hydration. The blackberry ginger is my favorite of the flavors followed by grapefruit. I’m a big fan of Heywell!
