If you’ve been around here, you know I’m not a great baker. During our home stay, I decided to try out a GoNanas mix that I got in a Clean.Fit Box. Not only did it come out well, but it’s made with made with better for you ingredients. The Husband loves it, too!
The women behind Gonanas met at The University of Michigan. They were both passionate about health and food. They saw a lack of healthy and tasty food options on campus, especially baked goods. With their family recipes and love of banana bread, they developed a ‘healthified’ banana bread recipe over a few years. Their goal was (and is) “to provide a delicious treat, made from real and simple ingredients, that everyone can enjoy.”
All GoNanas mixes are vegan and gluten free. They’re oat flour based and you just add a few simple ingredients – coconut oil, maple syrup and your favorite non-dairy milk. GoNanas has “modernized banana bread.” It offers “a satisfying indulgent taste of banana bread goodness, while properly fueling your body.”
GoNanas has three core flavors: Original, Salted Caramel and Chocolate Chip. Each mix makes one loaf or 12 muffins. They have some awesome seasonal and limited edition flavors, too. We’ve been loving the Birthday Cake limited edition mix with sprinkles and mini-white chocolate chips as muffins. These would be great as cupcakes with frosting, too!
GoNanas also makes instant mug cake style packets. You just mix a banana in with the mix and microwave it for 90 seconds. It’s a great snack or treat. They’re sold out right now, but I have a few and I’ll send some along to the giveaway winner!
