The women from Willa’s Kitchen wrote to tell me that they’d be available at my Foxtrot Market. They saw that I was a big fan and asked if I wanted to give their oat milks a try. Of course I said “YES!” They sent me their Original and Creamy Oat Milks to try and will send a 4 pack to a lucky reader. So read on!
Willa’s was started by sisters who wanted oat milk as delicious and wholesome as their grandmother made. Using her recipe card, they created the taste they remembered and named it for her. The “secret” to the delicious recipe is using the whole oat and only wholesome ingredients. It creates a delicious and more nutritious non-dairy milk option.
Willa’s Oat Milk is organic, non-GMO, vegan and sustainably produced. They use the entire whole grain oat and organic vanilla. Unlike other oat milks, they use the whole oats to capture all of the grain’s nutrition. There’s more protein and fiber in every serving. The milks are shelf stable until they’re opened.
Willa’s comes in Original Unsweetened and Creamy. The Original has just 1 gram of sugar per 8 oz. serving. The Creamy is fortified with Calcium and has less than 3 grams of sugar per 8 oz. serving. They recommend it for baking and recipes (and of course in coffee!) They just launched a Chocolate Oat Milk with Raaka that uses cacao and maple sugar, too!
I’m a big fan of both varieties! I use both in my coffee and granola or cereal. My coffee is nice and creamy without being too sweet. The Husband even likes it – and he’s a big critic of non-dairy milks.
