It’s the first weekend of the month so I’m having some virtual coffee. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I had so much fun at A Sweat Life’s Sweatworking Week last week. The majority of workouts were outdoors and I led two running tours. I went to three other workouts. It was so much fun to see friends, meet new people and to try some new workouts.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m excited to go to Flex & Flow summer camp next week. It will be my first flight since February, 2020. I’m nervous about the Delta variant, but I’m excited for a lot of outdoor fun in nature (with hills!) and to see lots of friends and meet new people, too! I had such a blast in 2019 – I know this will be a great getaway. I’d ask if you have any trips planned or getaways?
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’ve been having a great time giving running tours and showing friends around Chicago. I’m working on some potential partnerships with hotels, a gym, a running store and (fingers crossed) an active wear company. It’s fun trying to get Go! Running Tours off of the ground in Chicago as more people are traveling and looking for safe, fun outdoor activities.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve been watching the Olympics. I’ve seen less this year than usual. I always love the human interest stories and this year is no different. My favorite so far is the Men’s high jump gold. Watch the priceless reaction when the two leading men decide to share the Gold instead of having a jump off here. I’ve watched it least 50 times. I also loved watching the watch party reactions for Suni Lee and Athing Mu – so much love and joy! I’d ask if you have a favorite moment so far.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I tried a delicious new coffee from Nora’s Naturals. This organic coffee is grown on a multi-generational family farm in the Nicaragua and hand roasted in Santa Barbara. The beans are grown in volcanic soil, rich in silica, which is essential for anti-aging collagen production. They donate 3% of profits to the Environmental Defense Fund. We loved it and just ordered more!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
I’m linking up with Darlene, Michelle, Renee, Jenn and Zenaida, for Fit Five Friday. Join us!
Have a good weekend!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
