When Jeff’s trainer, Angelica, launched her Proteiny Bites, he knew who to call. Angelica wanted a healthy solution for her sweet tooth. She created her “Proteiny” Bites to have with her morning coffee or after a workout (or both). These quick, portable snacks are a great option if you’re on the go, at the gym or office.
Angelica says, “like all good Italian treats, it started with a kitchen, one mixing bowl, and an espresso maker.” As an athlete and healthy food enthusiast, she looked for the right mix of ingredients to hit the spot for her healthy snacking. When she didn’t find it, she made it and shared it with friends, family and training clients. That’s how this “protein-packed treat” came to life. She also wanted to do something good with her company, Fueled by Angelica Ford, so she partners with Aspire to employ people with disabilities.
Proteiny Bites contain all natural ingredients. They’re gluten free and vegan and contain no sugar alcohols. Each serving has 10g or more of plant based protein. Proteiny Bites come in packs of three or in a 12 bite variety pack with three bites of each flavor. The variety pack is set up like a truffle box! This is both clever and appealing. They’re shelf stable for 30 days. I keep them in the fridge and Angelica recommends trying them frozen, too!
Proteiny Bites come in four flavors. They are Cinnamon Raisin, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Chocolate Almond and Maple Pecan.
I’ve been eating 1 or 2 bites pre-workout or as a mid-morning snack. Jeff and I both picked the Cinnamon Raisin as our favorite. I like them all but my next favorite is the Coconut Chocolate Almond. I don’t find any of the flavors too sweet – they’re just right!
