Tried it Tuesday: Turbana Chips #Giveaway

My friends from Turbana wrote to ask if I wanted to check out their new branding and flavors. I’m a huge fan of their plantain chips so I said “You bet!” They offered to send some to me and to some lucky readers, too!

Made with freshly harvested plantains and all natural ingredients, Turbana chips are “wholesome crunchy goodness in every bite.” They source plantains from small growers in Colombia, so every purchase contributes to the sustainability of the farming region. Turbana chips are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, contain no trans fats and have 30% less fat than potato chips. They now have cassava chips, too!

They sent me these four to try!

The new packaging is clean and colorful. The chips now come in 9 varieties. They plantain chips come in lightly salted, garlic, sweet chili, chili lime, lime, sweet and sweet and salty. The plantain dippers come in lightly salted (these are great for ceviche and dips). The cassava chips come in lightly salted. Like plantain chips, cassava chips have less fat and calories than potato chips so are a better for you option.

I started with the Sweet and Salty plantain chips and was not disappointed. They are crunchy and mostly salty with a pinch of sweetness. I then dug into Sweet Chili which have a nice little kick but don’t catch your mouth on fire. The cassava chips are most like potato chips to me. I love having a side of these with my sandwich or crumbled on my salad or soup. I’m excited to try all of the flavors!

Want to try Turbana chips? They’ll send two lucky readers a sampler like I received. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. Winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or up and the offer is void where prohibited. The giveaway closes on April 14. A winner will be selected and notified on April 15.
