Nine years have passed since I published my first post on April 9, 2012. I really had no idea what I was doing! And, I had I no idea what this blog would bring into my life. I’ve made countless friends and connections, had amazing experiences and “found” tons of awesome products, services, fitness classes and events.
Six years ago, I wrote my lessons learned and they all still hold up very well. The most critical ones are to write about what you enjoy and share enthusiasm and, as Marcia says, “keep your eye on your own paper.” Comparison is the thief of joy – see one of my fave posts from my 1st year on this! I may not have the biggest following, or the highest traffic, but I have a loyal and engaged following and get great opportunities.
Since last year, I’ve been doing all of my finding from home. Expo West was cancelled and then everything else followed. Despite this, or maybe because of it, I’ve been working with a ton of brands to spread the word about their new products. I’ve been sharing a lot of products and brands that are giving back on Instagram and Instagram stories so please follow along. The blog and has been such a big help to me to feel normal and useful in this stressful time.
