The folks from GU Energy Labs believe “good food brings good fortune.” They say, “Each meal we eat, every snack we enjoy is – in some way – preparing us for our next adventure.” They decided to share some of their favorite healthy snacks and treats with us in a new line they’re calling Boon!
Boon has been years in the making. It started in their kitchens, around campfires, after workouts and at races by sharing good food with friends and family. Boon makes wholesome, purposeful snacks to “nourish your body for what comes next.” They taste amazing, too!
Boon uses functional ingredients like ginger as an anti-inflammatory, cardamom for digestion and coffee as an antioxidant. They partner with three trusted brands to ensure our products are made with delicious, sustainable ingredients.
Boon launched with two delicious lines – Almond Butters and Stroopwafels.
Boom Almond Butters are vegan, gluten free and contain non-GMO ingredients. They’re made with almonds and no added oils. The almond butters come in 4 flavors: Cinnamon Spice, Sweet Ginger, Chai Spice and Espresso Bean. They sent me Chai Spice and Sweet Ginger to try. They are finely ground and have unique flavors. The Chai Spice is light with lovely chai taste. It’s great in oatmeal, with apples, on toast or just from the spoon. The Sweet Ginger has chunks of crystalized ginger and it’s a unique, delicious combo. I’m surprised I’ve never had it before. It’s a great combo!
Boon Stroopwafels are gluten free and made with only non-GMO ingredients. They come in three great flavors: Vanilla Cardamom, Sweet Ginger and Cinnamon Spice. Each waffle also includes functional ingredients like ginger, cardamom and cinnamon spices which make them nutritious and delicious. Stroopwafels can be eaten straight from the package or heated on your coffee or tea cup. They’re delicious either way. I love all of these for a late morning or afternoon snack. My favorite flavor is Vanilla Cardamom, but I’m a fan of all three.
