The nice folks from Singing Pastures reached out to see if I wanted to check out their Roam Sticks. Roam Sticks are meat sticks made with pasture raised pork. I supported their Kickstarter in 2016, so I was really excited to see what was new. They sent me a variety pack to enjoy and one to send to a lucky reader.
Singing Pastures is a family farm based in coastal Maine with a focus on regenerative agriculture. They’re “raising the bar for healthy, ethical, pasture-raised pork products.” At the time of their Kickstarter, they were living in rural Missouri in an Amish farmhouse with no power! They’re not Amish, but “it was affordable.” Back then, they were raising two young children in addition to starting their business. Amazing! Since then, they moved to a farm in Maine, rebranded, updated the packaging and added some great flavors.
Roam Sticks are 100% pasture-raised pork sticks that you can take anywhere. Singing Pastures uses the traditional, artisanal process of natural fermentation and smoking to make the sticks shelf-stable. This process includes the health benefits of probiotics from fermentation. They have no added nitrates – only naturally occurring nitrates from sea salt and celery juice powder. With these health benefits and only 100 calories, 4 g of protein, 9 g of fat and 0 g of carbs, you can eat bacon any time. Yahoo!
Roam Sticks come in 3 great flavors. They are Uncured Bacon, Pineapple and Jalapeno. The sticks are juicy and fresh. All three have a unique, fresh flavor. I like all three but Pineapple is my favorite. I love these for an afternoon or late morning snack. I love meat sticks like these for travel to get a protein boost, so they’ll be in my bag when I get going again.
