It’s the first weekend of the month and of 2021 (YAY!). I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the Ultimate Coffee Date.
What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve made any New Year’s resolutions and tell you that I haven’t. I have some goals and intentions but I feel a better mindset for me is to start every day off fresh instead of waiting for a “reset” button. I think this is especially true with so much uncertainty still over vaccines and COVID. What do you think?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’re planning any trips or if you’re waiting to see how things go with the vaccines. We don’t have any plans yet but I hope we’ll make some soon. I have a big birthday in December and a number of friends who come before me. I really hope to have some travels and running adventures this year to celebrate.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you I’m planning to keep up my running streak through February 2021 at least. Running is one of my only easy social outlets in winter and I do love running in cold weather. Call me crazy! I’m excited to try out and share some great cold weather running gear from Hot Chilly’s and Heat Holders, too! Stay tuned. [If you missed it, check out my 2020 Year in Running here.]
If we were having coffee… I’d mention that some of my friends recapped the year with “roses and thorns” or “sweets and sours.” I’d tell you that though there were a ton of thorns and a lot of hardships this year, I found roses, too. Connecting (and reconnecting) with friends far and near over Zoom, finding creative ways to keep busy, getting back to the basics with cooking and reading, finding some new at home passtimes with The Husband (like puzzles and Spelling Bee) and having more down time were some for me. How about you?
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you have anything new brewing for 2021. I don’t but I’m hoping to really start the Go Running! Chicago tours when people start visiting again. We have so many great sites and Chicago is a truly run-able city.
If we were having coffee… I’d ask “what’s happening by you?” Please tell me in the comments!
PS. Please don’t forget my great giveaways.
