I’ve been enjoying 88 Acres seed based bars and seed’nola since they launched in 2014. I supported their Kickstarter and reconnected with them in 2017 (post). They refreshed their branding and added an awesome line of seed based butters including watermelon seed butter. They just launched their first fall edition seasonal seed bar – Spiced Cranberry Orange. It’s so delicious!
88 Acres came from the founder’s need to come up with tasty, healthy nut-free snacks for her husband. He has a life threatening nut allergy, so the founder (who grew up on an 88 acre organic farm) started “tinkering” with seed based bar recipes. Once their friends started asking for more, they launched 88 Acres. All of the seed based products are hand-crafted in Boston in a dedicated bakery free of peanuts, tree nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs and soy.
They sent me a box of the Spiced Cranberry Orange Seed Bars and some fun swag to match. Like all of the other 88 Acres bars, they’re gluten free, nut free, non-GMO and vegan. They have 6 grams of plant based protein and 3 grams of fiber per bar. They say it’s “just good ‘warm and cozy’ nutrition – and those fall spices with cranberries and a burst of orange.”
The bars are delicious! After all of the pumpkin spice seasonal flavors, this combo is unique and amazing. It has the perfect seasonal spice and a great sweet and tart flavor from the oranges and cranberries. This may be my favorite 88 Acres Seed Bar ever – and that’s saying something!
Want to try Spiced Cranberry Orange Seed Bars? I’m going to send one lucky reader 5 of the bars plus the adorable zip pouch that I received. The giveaway runs through November 17. A winner will selected and notified on November 18. Winner must be 18 years of age or older, have a US postal address and the offer is void where prohibited.
