I had the opportunity to try new Proper Good soups. When it was tough to get fresh food (and canned food) earlier in the year, I was really happy to check out these delicious, healthy, shelf stable options.
The founders of Proper Good created these soups to help us eat healthy, convenient meals in an affordable way. They’re busy and active and were eating a lot of better for you take out foods. The bills were adding up so they decided to create a solution. Proper Good makes “good-for-you meals with clean label ingredients in flexible transparent packaging at reasonable prices.”
Proper Good soups contain only whole food ingredients and no chemical preservatives. They use functional ingredients like grass-fed bone broth and turmeric. There are a variety of options to support different diets including keto, vegan and gluten-free.
Proper Good has four varieties and bone broth. Plus, they just launched a seasonal variety. The flavors are Meatball Minestrone, Red Pepper & Meat Ball, Chicken & Mushroom and Squash & Carrot (now Butternut Squash). The seasonal flavor is Spiced Pumpkin. The meatball and chicken soups contain bone broth. All soups except the Meatball Minestrone are gluten free. The Red Pepper & Meatball and Chicken & Mushroom are Keto. The Butternut Squash and Spiced Pumpkin are vegan, gluten free and have no added sugar.
We enjoyed all of the soups. My favorites were Meatball Minestrone and Butternut Squash. The Husband liked the Red Pepper & Meatball best but liked them all. I just ordered some Spiced Pumpkin to try, too. These soups are shelf stable and taste like they’re from a restaurant. They’re perfect for lunch at home or in the office – you just heat and eat.
