Tried it Tuesday: Pause Meditation Class #Giveaway

If anything is needed in these crazy times, it’s calm and stillness. I’ve tried a ton of different meditation apps and practices and none of them have stuck.

My friend, Jennifer, used this COVID time and her meditation training to create a course called Pause. The four-week course covers four different meditation techniques. It’s designed for beginners to “build the framework of a consistent meditation practice.” Each week has a 5 minute meditation that you can repeat daily and worksheets to take notes and journal your experience.

Who is Jennifer? Jennifer Lutenski is a Chicago based Certified Meditation Instructor, Vinyasa Yoga & Yoga Sculpt Teacher and Reiki Level I & II Healer. She’s dedicated to teaching mindfulness and relaxation techniques to her students through guided meditation, yoga and energy work.  Jennifer’s also an avid runner and fellow A Sweat Life ambassador among other things!

What is meditation? Meditation is “a practice in which you gently center your attention on a thought, idea or object.” What are the benefits? A consistent meditation practice “can lead to increased calmness, reduced stress and improved sleep.”

Pause teaches 4 meditation techniques. They are:

  • Breath Awareness
  • Body Scan
  • Mindfulness
  • Affirmations

I’ve started and am really enjoying the course. I like the bite sized meditation concept. There’s no excuse for not making time for 5 minutes. Right? I’m excited to add a meditation practice to my wellness routine. I really need it! Jennifer has a great voice, too.

Want to try it? Jennifer will provide a free course to one lucky reader. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. Winner must be 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. Giveaway runs through September 9. A winner will be selected and notified on September 10.
