Chicago is always hopping in summer and people get outside as much as possible. Like everything else in 2020, this summer is looking different. Al fresco dining, patio entertaining and picnics are the key ways that we’re socializing this summer. The folks from Foxtrot Market asked if I wanted to check out some of their picnic and charcuterie items and of course I said “YES!”
Foxtrot Market has 8 stores in Chicago and two in Dallas. They also have an app that enables order ahead and delivery with a $5 delivery fee. They have a curated selection of unique foods, snacks, wines and gifts. They highlight local companies clearly, too. You can get coffee drinks, wine and beer, charcuterie, chef prepared meals, customized bundles or individual products.
Foxtrot sent over a fun assortment for me to make a picnic charcuterie board. We were headed to meet some friends for a socially distant patio visit. I prepped everything in advance and assembled it when we arrived in a no touch way.
The Husband absconded with the bread when it arrived (he highly recommends it!). I subbed in some crackers I had from Hu Kitchen. We brought extra knives for the brie so each person got one and we took plates instead of sharing the board. All of that being said, we loved the La Quercia prosciutto and the Marin French Cheese triple creme brie cheese. We saved the Coco chocolate and Underwood wine for later in the weekend. The canned rose wine was really refreshing and we’ll be getting it again.
Foxtrot has some great bundles for your summer fun. You can order for yourself, send to friends or both! They also have fun, thoughtful gifts that can be delivered quickly and gift wrapped.
If you’re in Chicago, you can order online or stop by one of their locations. Get $10 off your first online order if you register with this link. You get one hour delivery for $5 during business hours. If you’re not in Chicago, check out their online store for some awesome summer picnic ideas!
What’s your “must have” picnic item this summer?
