I love to support local companies and especially ones that give back. Nicole reached out to tell me about philanthroTEA Their goal is to “giv[e] back to others while providing customers with the opportunity to ‘steep with intention.’”
philanthroTEA’s mission is simple. They create eco-friendly teas and then donate 20% of profits from every sale to Chicago non-profit organizations. They’re a women owned and sister owned company.
philanthroTEA’s loose leaf tea blends are eco-friendly, kosher, non GMO, and USDA certified organic. They make high-quality blends that “not only taste good, but do good for others as well.”
philanthroTEA comes in four varieties:
- anxieTEA – organic caffeine-free peppermint lavender. It provides “a naturally fresh yet comforting melody” to help ease your mind and spirit. 20% of profits support mental health charities.
- kinderTEA – organic caffeine-free chamomile spice. This classic blend of chamomile is brightened by the rich undertones of fennel, cinnamon, cloves, and licorice root to provide you with the opportunity to unwind. 20% of profits support child welfare charities.
- ecoTEA – organic, caffeine-free chai tea blend. This full-bodied blend is a mix of ginger, clove, black peppercorns, cardamom and cinnamon to “provide an enticing balance of smooth flavor-forward notes.” 20% of profits support environmental awareness charities.
- pawsativiTEA – organic peach mango black tea. The combination of safflower, mango and a traditional black tea mixture is the perfect balance of fresh and subtly sweet. 20% of profits from this blend are donated to animal welfare organizations.
I’m obsessed with the ecoTEA. It’s a delicious chai tea blend. I love it with some oat milk as an afternoon treat. They had a buy one get one free sale for Earth Day. I got extra and shared some!
