I’m no “prepper” but I’m happy that I’ve got a bunch of Daily Harvest smoothies, soups and harvest bowls on hand. The news on COVID-19 has been freaking me out. I thrive on healthy food and am feeling grateful that my freezer is full of Daily Harvest cups and I have more coming.
Daily Harvest takes the highest quality fruits and vegetables and “crafts delicious foods that are actually good for you.” They freeze them in cups and deliver them to your door. They started with smoothies, then added soups and harvest bowls. Recent additions include oat bowls, chia bowls, energy bites and lattes.
I love the Harvest Bowls and soups – especially in winter. Most have just a handful of ingredients and seasonings. You’ll recognize all of them.
I love eating Harvest Bowls for lunch. Sometimes I add protein or eat them as a side. Other times, I eat them as a main course. Some of the bowls have more protein, nuts or nut butter for a more filling meal. All of the cups list the ingredients clearly on the back. I love Spinach + Shiitake Grits. It’s so filling. The Husband is a fan, too, and that’s saying something!
The soups are very quick and easy to make. I love how you can see and taste all of the fresh veggies. The Mushroom + Miso is a lot more than just a miso soup. It has mushrooms, spinach and my fave butternut squash. The Tomato + Zucchini Minestrone is light and fresh.
Daily Harvest launched a campaign in February that they call “Just Being Honest.” Click the link to learn more about their straightforward approach to food and nutrition. With it, they launched The Honest Hotline – a text based line – for people to ask questions on ingredients and other nutrition questions. The number is 917-267-0722. Get nutrition and ingredient advice from nutrition advocates (RDs) (any question not just related to their products). You can text a picture or question and they’ll reply within 24 hours.
