After relying on her father-in-law’s sauce as a go-to for years, the founder of Jar Goods decided to change the game in the jarred sauce market. She saw lots of chefs selling their recipes but none that were as fresh as the simple, delicious recipe she used. The versatile “Classic Red” launched the business and the rest is history.
Jar Goods creates premium, clean label tomato sauces made with only the freshest ingredients. The sauces are certified Non-GMO and contain NO artificial flavors, colors or artificial preservatives.
Jar Goods now has 5 varieties. In addition to Classic Red, there is Classic Spicy, Classic Vodka, Vegan Vodka and Beet + Basil Pesto.
We tried the Beet + Basil Pesto and the Classic Red.
I made the pesto with Cauliflower Gnocci from Trader Joes. This was the perfect quick fix healthy weeknight meal I needed. I love this pesto. I had a bunch of questions after I posted on my Instagram stories asking if I could taste the beets. Nope – just yummy pesto. That’s a win for eating that great anti-oxidant veggie if it’s not your first choice.
The Husband made Bolognese with the Classic Red. I had it over Veggiecraft Farms cauliflower pasta. It was tasty but The Husband raved about the Classic Red with ravioli. The sauce has olive oil as a key ingredient and he felt that the olive oil brought out the flavors in the sauce and ravioli better. Good to know!
