If you’ve been around here, you know I love my healthy snacks and local companies. Chicago has a new snack in town! Munchy Pops is making popped water lily seeds in three great flavors. Popper water lily seeds (also known as makhana and popped lotus seeds) are an Indian snack food that’s also a super food! They have protein, natural antioxidants and minerals.
Munchy Pops’ mission is “to create snacks with minimally processed [plant-based] food… and to offer the healthiest snacks.” They’re “proud to offer guilt-free, anytime, ready to eat healthy superfood snacks”
Munchy Pops are roasted not fried and are made with all-natural ingredients. They’re plant based and free of gluten, corn, nuts and soy. Each serving has 4 grams of plant based protein.
Munchy Pops come in three great flavors. They are Salt & Pepper, Sweet & Salty and White Cheddar Cheese.
My fave flavor is Salt & Pepper. This “like popcorn” snack is so tasty. I love that it has more protein than other snack foods, too. Also, the whole bag is one serving and less than 200 calories. This is perfect for me! I’m not so great at portion control with salty snacks.
