I met the folks from Hippie Snacks at Expo East. They launched new veggie “crisps” made with cauliflower and avocado. They make minimally processed snacks with “real, whole food ingredients you can pronounce.”
Hippie Snacks started with tortilla chips. They wanted to do something different – to create snacks with real foods that taste great. They realized they were on to something by “creating ‘Hippie’ twists on traditional snacks.” They’ve since expanded into a whole product line. They’re a B Corp, so they focus on making great food and serving customers in an ethical and environmentally responsible way.
Hippie Snacks’ newest line includes Cauliflower and Avocado Crisps. The crisps are plant-based, non-GMO, gluten free and contain 5g of protein per serving. The crisps bring cauliflower and avocado to you in a convenient, crispy and delicious snack. They’re seasoned with sea salt, seeds and herbs.
The crisps come in four flavors. They are Cauliflower Original and Classic Ranch and Avocado Sea Salt and Guacamole. They have cauliflower or avocado as the first ingredient, pumpkin seeds and sesame for the protein and crunch and herbs and spices for great taste. They can be eaten as a snack or with dips as a gluten free cracker.
I love the Cauliflower Crisps – both flavors! They’re great straight or crumbled on salads or with dips. I also love that the whole bag is only 330 calories and that cauliflower is the first ingredient. The Avocado Crisps have a tangy flavor. They’re not as much of a “go-to” for me as the Cauliflower Crisps, but some people prefer them.
