This is the first “He” Tried it Tuesday. I was offered the opportunity to check out the KeySmart Urban Slim Wallet. The Husband was interested in having a smaller wallet for summer (and in general) so he took the lead.
KeySmart started with a key organizer funded by a Kickstarter in 2013. Now, they’ve added a line of accessories including travel tools, flashlights and “urban gear.” The Urban Gear line includes slim wallets, a passport holder and a backpack.
The folks from KeySmart sent me an Urban Slim Wallet and Tile Slim. The Urban Slim Wallet holds up to 6 credit cards and some cash. It has RFID protection and a slim pocket for the Tile (locator). It has card barriers to keep cards in place, a thumb hole to access the cards and ridges to make it slide into pockets easier. It’s made of a patented Techtuff Leather that’s 10x stronger than traditional leather and comes with a 2 year warranty.
The Husband has been using the Urban Slim Wallet all summer. He loves the small profile. He likes the fact that the cards stay in place and are easy to get out for use. He’s not a huge fan of the RFID protection feature as he likes to use his Ventra (Chicago Transit) card without taking it out of his wallet. He reports that it does sometimes work in the wallet. He didn’t try the Tile. The Husband might prefer the Bi Fold Wallet in the long run. It has room for 9 cards and cash with a similar small profile.
