I found Jade Leaf Matcha Fruit Bites at Empower Summer Camp. These yummy fruit bites are a great afternoon pick me up because they have 25mg of caffeine from green tea. They’re basically grown up fruit snacks. You know I love my grown up snacks.
The folks are Jade Leaf Matcha believe that organic matcha green tea can enhance a healthy lifestyle. They work directly with Japanese producers to source high quality matcha at a fair price. They sell a variety of matcha teas. Now, they’re working on convenience products to help make matcha more mainstream.
At camp, we got to try Jade Leaf’s Premium Matcha Latte Infusions and their new fruit snacks. I brought home some matcha latte infusions but haven’t tried them yet. More to come on that soon.
These fruit bites are a better for you snack. Why? They’re made with organic ingredients, including fruit purees and authentic Japanese matcha. They’re USDA organic, gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO. They have no added sugar or artificial preservatives. Each pack has less than 100 calories and similar caffeine to a cup of green tea (~25mg).
I tried all three flavors of fruit bites at camp. The flavors are Apple Ginger, Lemon and Peach Mango. A few of us opened all three and had trouble picking a favorite. I thought I’d like Lemon best but I think Apple Ginger beat it! Marine liked Peach Mango the best. They’re all good. They’re the perfect afternoon pick me up.
I tried them on a long run and they’re great running fuel. They’re easy to digest and the caffeine is a nice pick me up, too.
