I met Redd Bar in 2016 at Expo East (post). Even though I’d had a ton of energy bars, I was intrigued by their marketing. Once I saw the clean ingredients and had a taste, I was hooked. I’ve been a huge fan ever since.
This year, Redd Bar had a makeover – inside and out! They changed from a masculine look to a more feminine, lifestyle look. They kept the same great ingredients, but they lowered the sugar and added prebiotics, probiotics and a new superfood blend.
I had the opportunity to work with Redd Bar at the Outdoor Experience. This Expo was put on by Outside magazine. It was a two-day event for outdoor and adventure enthusiasts of all skill levels and ages. I’ll tell you more about it soon!
Some great things about Redd Bar remain the same. They’re still plant based, all natural, vegan, gluten free, non-GMO and soy free. They still contain a variety of superfoods. The flavors are still Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Chocolate Mint and Salted Caramel.
So what’s new? In addition to the new look, Redd changed its acronym. They went from “Research Enhanced Design + Development” to “Radiant Energy Deliciously Delivered.” The biggest change was to lower the sugar. The bars now have 3 – 5 g of sugar per bar and no added sugar. They also added a prebiotic and probiotic blend and an adaptogenic mushroom blend. They also removed the cashews so they’re tree nut free.
The new bars and softer in texture and are moist and chewy. My faves in the new formulation are Peanut Butter and Chocolate. At the Expo, people loved the lower sugar and taste/texture of the bars.
You don’t have to take my word for it. Redd Bar gave me a 6 pack (variety) of bars and a “Radiant AF” hat to send to a lucky reader. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. Winners must be US residents, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. The giveaway runs through July 24. Winners will be selected and notified by July 25.
