I tried Olyra Breakfast Biscuits last summer in a Postworthy Box. These whole grain, organic breakfast biscuits were “inspired by the endurance of Olympic Runners, the wisdom of Athenian Philosophers and the might of Spartan Warriors.” They recently offered me the opportunity to check out all of their flavors and to offer a reader giveaway.
The founder of Olyra’s family has been milling grain in Green for five generations. She crafted these breakfast biscuits out of a combination of ancient grains, fruits and spices. They say that they’re “new to shelves, but 100 years in the making.”
Olyra Breakfast Biscuits are plant based, organic and all natural. Each package of three biscuits has 21g of whole grains, 4g of fiber and 5g of plant based protein.
Olyra Breakfast Biscuits come in three “parent and kid-friendly” flavors. They are Fig Anise, Cinnamon Tahini and Hazelnut Carob. Each package has 3 biscuits and 180 calories.
The Husband and I tried all three flavors. We were both pleasantly surprised by how filling these are and how they add to a healthy balanced breakfast. They’re excellent dunked in coffee. The Husband liked how well they held their form and texture dipped in coffee. I like that they have good flavor but are not sweet. I’ve tried similar products that leave me wanting more to eat. The hearty grains and fiber make these filling and satisfying. We’re big fans! The breakfast biscuits are a great on the go option instead of an energy bar.
I like all three but Cinnamon Tahini is my favorite. Allison liked Fig Anise the best. She said “the anise flavor wasn’t too strong and was a really nice complement to the fig.”
Want to try Olyra Breakfast Biscuits? They’ll send one winner a sampler of all three flavors. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through July 30. A winner will be selected and notified on July 31. Winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
