My friend Meryl found Nud Fud‘s organic, vegan banana crisps in Canada a few years ago. She brought some home for me from Whistler and I was hooked. The were originally only available in Canada, so they were a tough “find” to find. At Expo West this year, I connected with them and found that they’re now selling in the US. In addition to the original banana crisps, they added savory crackers and a Keto carrot flax cracker.
Nud Fud was founded by a holistic nutritionist who wanted to make snacks that were nutritious and delicious. They believe in “stripping away the bad stuff and providing only clean, high quality snacks, that taste great too.” They use only the best organic, non-GMO ingredients and are plant based for health and for the good of the environment.
Nud makes banana based crisps and savory crackers. All of their products are organic, raw, vegan, paleo, tree nut-free, gluten-free, grain-free, non-GMO and have no added sugar.
The banana crisps come in four flavors. They are cacao banana, spirulina banana, goji chia banana crisps and chai banana crisps. They sent me the “Best Seller Sampler” which included the cacao banana and spirulina banana. I’ve tried both of these before and especially love the cacao banana. I don’t know how they do it, but they’re so flavorful and delicious. The serving size is large so the whole bag has less than 300 calories. That’s good for someone like me with little self control!
The new savory line of crackers comes in six flavors. They are original, cheezy, BBQ, cranberry sage, tomato herb and carrot flax (Keto). I received the cheezy and BBQ to try. I loved the cheezy but failed to take a photo! The BBQ is very tasty, too. I love how crisp these crackers are. They’re great alone, crumbled on salad or with cream cheese or dipped in yogurt (I use dairy free from Kite Hill.)
