Know a kid who’s making a difference? Maybe they started a community garden, started a fundraiser for those in need or helped the elderly in your community. My friends at Barbara’s Bakery are celebrating kids who “Believe in Better.”
Barbara’s believes in a better breakfast and building a better community. Barbara’s cereals are all non-GMO with organic, whole grain and gluten free options available. They have “a taste that kids and adults love with the nutrition that parents can feel good about serving.”
Barbara’s Believe in Better Contest launched on June 6. It’s a nationwide search to recognize American youth “doing better” by leading a do-good, non-profit, charity, school or community project. The Believe in Better Contest will recognize outstanding children who are making a positive impact in their communities through their acts and service.
Does this sound like anyone you know? If you know an outstanding child who believes in giving back, nominate them for a chance to win a $10,000 donation to their charity, non-profit or to support their “do-good” project! You can nominate them here.
Submissions will be open now through July 10, 2019. Five finalists will be selected for a period of public voting. Prizes will be awarded to each winner’s project based on the number of votes received. Prizes include:
- Grand Prize: $10,000
- First Runner-Up: $1,500
- Second Runner-Up: $1,000
- Two (2) Honorable Mention: $500
No purchase is needed. Nominator must be 18 years of age or older and a US resident. Contest ends 7/10/19. Check out the rules of the competition here.
Please note: I was not compensated for this post. I think it’s a cool idea and that Barbara’s a great company. I’m just spreading the word!
