I first “found” Nakd Bars in 2014 after seeing them on Kaila‘s blog (post). I ordered some and wrote to them and we’ve been pals ever since. They’ve been featured here a number of times. Whenever they have something new, they send it over for me to check out. I’m lucky that way!
Natural Balance Foods is a young British company. They’re “devoted to increasing world happiness with yummy healthy snacks, humor and helpfulness.” They’ve been making healthy whole food alternatives to processed foods in 2004.
Nakd Bars contain 100% natural ingredients with no added sugar or “other stuff that shouldn’t be there.” The bars are wheat, dairy and gluten free and are a perfect size for a travel snack or pre-workout. They also have one serving of fruit which is nice. You can easily read the ingredients – but some are the British version. 😉
There are two kinds of Nakd bars – fruit and nut bars and crunch (protein) bars. The fruit and nut bars now come in 14 flavors! My faves are Blueberry Muffin, Bakewell Tart (Cherry) and Ginger Bread.
Nakd recently launched two new flavors of fruit and nut bars. They are Coffee & Walnut and Salted Caramel. They have the same great nutrition as the other Nakd bars! Both bars are rich and delicious with less than 150 calories. They are the perfect size for a snack with coffee.
Sapna and I grabbed coffee and tried the new flavors on our recent trip. I love the Coffee & Walnut. The mixture of walnuts, almonds, dates, raisins, coffee and coconut is delish! Sapna and I both agreed that you can’t taste a ton of coffee in the bar. It has a great taste and is even better with a cup of coffee. We both enjoyed Salted Caramel, too. I love the pinch of salt with the sweet taste.
Want to try the new flavors? The folks at Nakd will send a lucky reader a sampler box and a canvas string bag. [Stay tuned! I’ll also have one on Instagram.] Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through June 19. A winner will be selected and notified on June 20. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
In the meantime, you can get Nakd Bars online or on Amazon. Keep an eye out for Nakd bars. They’re sold in 80 countries – Stacy spotted them in Iceland. They’ll soon be in your local markets. Nakd is starting their US retail launch. You can also follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Which new Nakd Bar do you want to try first – Coffee & Walnut or Salted Caramel?
