I found Anew Toasted Muesli in a Fit Snack Box. Muesli is a cereal made with oats, nuts and dried fruit. Toasted muesli takes things up a notch. It’s crunchy like granola without the added oils. It has enough natural sweetener to have a nice crunch when toasted. Anew Toasted Muesli is a “clean alternative to granola.”
A few years ago, the creator of Anew Toasted Muesli started focusing on her health. With high cholesterol, she started eating cleaner and was looking for a good, high fiber cereal. Not satisfied with the ones she found, she started making her own. Now with Anew, she strives to help people “to become their best, one meal at a time.”
Anew muesli is high in fiber, a source of protein and is made with whole foods. It contains no artificial flavors, preservatives or GMO ingredients. You can eat it with your favorite milk, yogurt or on smoothie bowls. You can also use it as a base for overnight oats. They have some great recipes starring muesli, too!
Anew comes in six flavors. They are Cranberry Pecan, Cherry Coconut, Blueberry Ginger, Chocolate Peanut, Apple Spice and Nuts & Dates. The folks at Anew sent me a sampler of all six flavors.
I tried the Blueberry Ginger that I received in my Fit Snack box first. I’m a fan of muesli and I love how the toasted versions are crunchier. I’ve been eating it with a splash of almond milk and some fresh blueberries.
Anew is very tasty and filling and not sweet. Even the Chocolate Peanut is surprisingly not sweet. It’s a great afternoon snack if you need a little chocolate. The vegan chips are dark chocolate and the chia and flax seeds make it filling.
All of the flavors are distinct and subtle. I’m a big fan. I’m excited to try this in smoothie bowls and as overnight oats, too. I’m curious to see how it will taste in a smoothie, too!
