I first tried Enlightened “Good for you Crisps” in 2016. These addictive broad bean crisps are are now called Bada Bean Bada Boom Snacks. It’s the same great snack with a new look! The sea salt flavor has only 3 ingredients – fava beans, safflower oil and salt. They’re high in fiber so they’re super filling, too. My only beef with these snacks is that they’re tough to put down. I’m glad they come in handy 100 calorie packs!
The company that makes Bada Bean Snacks started with Enlightened Ice Cream in 2013. Their delicious flavors are also nutritious. The ice cream is “filled with protein, fiber and flavor—and light on calories, fat and sugar.” In 2015, they launched Enlightened Crisps. They’re non-GMO project verified, vegan, gluten free and soy free – plus they taste great.
The crisps now Bada Bean Bada Boom Snacks come in 7 flavors. They are Sea Salt, Sweet Sriracha, Mesquite BBQ, Garlic & Onion, Spicy Wasabi, Cocoa Dusted and Sweet Cinnamon.
I love the Sea Salt to top my salads and soups. I use them instead of croutons. The crunch is awesome and I love the fiber and protein. The 100 calorie packs are great for portion control. Sea Salt is still my fave followed closely by Sweet Cinnamon and Cocoa Dusted for a sweet treat. Oh, and I pick Spicy Wasabi and Sweet Sriracha when I want something spicy.
