You may remember my rave review of Peak Sherpa Cereal from 2017. If you missed it, here’s the link. Peak Sherpa’s made with Tsampa. It’s an ancient cereal from the Himalayas that Sherpas who climb Mt. Everest use for fuel.
The founders of Peak Sherpa are Tibetan. They were raised eating Tsampa which they were told by their elders is a “strength-giving and health-giving food.” They say that “Sherpa mountaineers consider Tsampa essential on their climbs of the world’s highest peaks. For Sherpas speed is primary, and Tsampa takes only seconds to prepare and fuels them for the long haul.”
Recently, Peak Sherpa launched an Indiegogo campaign for their energy balls. The energy balls are made with Tsampa and other organic ingredients. Each resealable package has 8 energy balls. They have between 11 and 14 grams of protein per package and 2 to 4 grams of fiber. They’re made with balanced nutrition to fuel your adventures.
Peak Sherpa Energy Balls come in four flavors. They are Almond Butter Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Almond, Cranberry Pecan and Mango Coconut.
I got a variety pack from supporting the Indiegogo campaign. I’ve shared some and tested all of the flavors. SJ and Scott “devoured” the Cranberry Pecan and wanted to know where to get more ASAP. I was surprised at how much I loved that one. I thought I’d like Almond Butter Chocolate Chip the best, but I actually liked the Cranberry Pecan and Chocolate Almond most.
I like that all of the flavors taste good but are not too sweet. The balls are perfectly bite sized and are easy to eat on the go. The packages seal well and you can eat a few and save the rest for later (or way later if you forget them in your bag).
Want to be among the first to try Peak Sherpa Energy Balls? I’m going to send two lucky readers one of each flavor to try. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter.
