The folks from Designer Protein emailed to see if I wanted to try their Totally Egg protein powder. It’s the first protein powder to contain all the nutrients of the whole egg. Totally Egg is an all natural protein source with only six ingredients! It contains naturally occurring lecithin which supports both brain function and cellular health.

- Packed with BCAA’s and EAA’s
- 0 grams of sugar and 2 grams of net carbs
- Only 6 ingredients with 110-120 calories per serving
- Certified Paleo-friendly, gluten free and kosher
I’ve been hungry in the mornings and wanted to try a high protein breakfast to see if that helped. I made a smoothie with the Totally Egg Chocolate, a frozen banana, coconut milk and some ice cubes.
As you can see, the smoothie blended up really well. It tasted great and the protein powder blends easily – there’s no chalky mouth feel. The texture was more like a milkshake than a protein drink. It wasn’t too sweet though. Totally Egg is sweetened with stevia, but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t have an aftertaste. The banana added the perfect amount of sugar for me. If you follow a Paleo or Keto diet, the smoothie would be good without it. You could substitute a different fruit or some nut butter.
