I met the folks from Wildscape at Expo East. I got to try their entrees at the LMS party and they were delicious. Recently, they asked me if I wanted to try all of them and, of course, I said “yes!”
Wildscape makes healthy, frozen meals that taste amazing. They start with lots of veggies, whole grains and meat. Then, they “cook it all to bring out the qualities and textures that make each ingredient great, put them together in interesting combinations, and freeze it so it’s ready when you are.” Each meal comes ready to heat in a reusable, heat safe container. They’re perfect for lunch at the office during the cold winter months!
Wildscape launched with six flavors. They are:
- Peri Peri Portobellos with Sweet Potatoes, Black Beans and Mango, Turmeric Farro and Toasted Coconut
- Chimichurri Chicken with Roasted Peppers, Red Potatoes and Farro, Aji Amarillo Purée and Almonds
- Gochujang Cauliflower with Brussels Sprouts, Chickpeas & Quinoa, Riced Cauliflower, Cashews and Pickled Onions
- Braised Brisket with Caramelized Sweet Potatoes, Sorghum, Red Rice and Pickled Onions
- Cilantro Lime Chicken with Charred Corn Salsa Freekeh, Black Beans and Avocado Mojo Verde
- Bourbon Braised Pork with Roasted Squash, Butter Beans, Sorghum and Pickled Peppers
I received five flavors to try. They included two chicken entrees, one beef and two vegetarian. The titles are long, but they pretty much list all of the ingredients. There are big chunks of veggies, whole grains, meat and delicious sauces. The portions are great for lunch or dinner.
I’ve tried all of the veggie and chicken ones so far. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I’d go with the Gochujang Cauliflower or the Chimchurri Chicken. The Wildscape meals taste very fresh. If I didn’t make it myself, I wouldn’t have known it was frozen.
