I’ve always been mystified by old fashioned, natural remedies. I love checking out the potions and ointments in apothecaries. When the folks at The Apotheca asked if I wanted to try Zincuta Ointment “Best Skin Remedy,” I said “YES!”
Zincuta Ointment is “a speciality skin cream that brings relief and heals skin afflictions.” The completely new patented Zincuta Ointment was inspired by the works of veterinarian Dr. Josiah C. Case (1865 – 1930). To honor Dr. Case, Herbalist Donna Penney “lovingly formulated” a completely new version of Zincuta. Like the original, this ointment is made with the finest, natural ingredients.
Zincuta comes in an adorable 2 oz tin. They say, the ointment is “without a doubt the best preparation known for burns, sunburn, chafes, abrasions, sores, insect bites, eczema and all kindred afflictions of the skin.” It’s also good for chapped lips and skin. It has 5 all natural ingredients (Axungia, Zinc Oxide, Styrax Benzoin, Beeswax, Slippery Elm Bark) and the essential oils of Wintergreen, Lavender and Bergamot. See more about usage and ingredients HERE.
Why should you try Zincuta? They say, the ointment “penetrates, softens, soothes, protects and heals all surface skin afflictions.” It relieves soreness and has antibacterial and antiseptic properties.
If you’ve been around here, you know I’m prone to minor mishaps. My clumsiness leads to scrapes and wounds. I sometimes make rookie running mistakes and wind up with chafing. I’m a mosquito magnet. You get the gist!
I’m going to spare you the pics of my scrapes and chafes. I tried Zincuta on my slow healing knee scrape, my chapped lips and some minor chafing on my upper thighs from some elastic in my shorts. It has a light scent from the essential oils. You only need a small amount to cover a large amount of skin. It softens the skin and coats the injury/rash. I noticed an improvement in the chafing and chapped lips in 2 – 3 days. This will be great to have on hand. The 2 oz tin should go a long way.
You don’t have to take my word for it. The folks at The Apotheca sent me an extra 2 oz tin to send to one lucky reader. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through July 18. A winner will be selected and notified on July 19. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
Don’t want to wait? Zincuta Ointment is sold on Amazon for $12.50 and is Prime Eligible. You can also keep up with The Apotheca on Facebook and Instagram.
