I’m a big fan of compression gear for running and recovery. When the folks from Caliloko, a new luxury compression line, asked if I wanted to check products, I said “YES!”
Caliloko incorporates compression technology into luxurious styles and fabrics. Caliloko clothing is made with premium yarns. The designs are meant to be functional and flattering. The pieces are made with soft, seamless fabrics that are quick drying, breathable, moisture wicking, contain anti-bacterial properties and sun protection up to UPF 50.
Caliloko has products for men and women. They include tights, calf sleeves (active and recovery), sports bras and headbands. They say, “its unique four-way stretch helps to activate the blood circulation, eliminate toxins and prevent swelling.”
They sent me a Performance Racer Back Bra and the Santa Barbara Recovery Calf Sleeves to take for a test drive. The bra comes in three colors – Ash Grey, Blue Oxygen and Red Ironman. All are heathered with a light gray. The sleeves come in the same heathered grey and red. The pieces I received are Ash Grey.
I tried the sports bra several times on very warm days. The material is very soft and comfortable and the bra is seamless. Though the material is thick, but it breathes well and is sweat wicking. Even after a sweltering race (above left), I had no chafing or discomfort. I like the coverage and find it really comfortable.
The Recovery Sleeves are very comfortable and not a struggle to get on like some I’ve worn. They’re intended for post workout and can be worn every day to improve circulation and prevent swelling. These will be good for flying, too, as they’re not too tight at the top and bottom.
You don’t have to take my word for it! The folks at Caliloko will send one lucky reader a pair of the Santa Barbara Recovery Calf Sleeves ($55 retail value). Head over to my Instagram grid to enter. The contest runs through Friday, July 20. A winner will be selected and notified by July 22 by Instagram message. Please see rules in the Instagram post.
You can check out Caliloko online. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
How do you like to recover?
Please note: I was provided Caliloko gear at no cost in exchange for an honest review. I was not otherwise compensated for this post. All opinions are my own.
