If you’ve been around here, you know I love to find healthier versions of classic foods and treats. I haven’t had a Pop Tart in many years, but I used to love them! (Guilty pleasure – what can I say?) When I saw that my friends at Bobo’s were making toaster pastries, I was very interested to try them.
For the last 15 years, the team from Bobo’s has been making delicious, nutritious oat based bars. Their mission is to “feed our consumers like we feed our own families, never compromising quality or taste to create the human-made feel that is more commonly found in your kitchen.” All Bobo’s products are vegan, gluten free and contain no-GMOs.
I stopped by at Sweets & Snacks to say hi and to try all of the flavors of Toast’r Pastries. Sapna and I tried them all. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but Blueberry Lemon leads the way for me. The team told me that their field marketing team will be “all over” Chicago this summer. Be on the lookout for free Bobo’s!
The team from Bobo’s sent me a care package of all of the flavors to test and share. The flavors are Blueberry Lemon, Strawberry Jam, Chocolate Almond Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter.
I did a head to head taste test of Strawberry Jam and Chocolate Almond Butter. I took out my toaster and a minute later voila – breakfast! (You can also microwave for a few seconds or eat them straight from the pack.)
I ate half of each flavor and enjoyed them both. I love the Strawberry Jam, but the Chocolate Almond Butter has 9g of protein and 6g of fiber. From a staying full perspective, I’d have to pick Chocolate Almond Butter. Either way, you can’t go wrong! Allison and Joe tested the fruity flavors and there were thumbs up all around. Joe was surprised by how much he enjoyed them.
You don’t have to take my word for it. I’m going to send a lucky reader a sampler of all four flavors. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through July 18. A winner will be selected and notified on July 19. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
Don’t want to wait? Bobo’s Toast’r Pastries are available exclusively at Whole Foods and Amazon. You can also keep up with Bobo’s on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Which flavor would you try first?
